Mike Shinoda bây giờ đã tách riêng òi. tiếc wớ. tui nghe linkin park từ năm lớp 7 với một ấn tượng ban đầu là "nhóm này hông có chửi bậy" hehehe..... lần đầu tiên bị thằng bạn tra tấn = Runaway... rồi nghiền bị tra tấn lun. ghiền đến nổi cả Hybrid Theory và Meteo ra tui thuộc hết lun...... . tui cũng có may mắn là được cậu từ Mỹ gửi về cho album cuối cùng của LP là Collision Intercourse..... nghe feat chung với Jay-Z = dĩa gốc mới thấm thía thế nào là alternative......

có thể lúc đầu bạn không thích Jay-Z, nưng nuếu bạn cố gắng cảm thụ Collision Course, thì bạn sẽ nhận ra được rằng Collision Course có một nét hay rất độc đáo mà các album khác ko có :honnhien:

bít là mike đọc rap là đỉnh, nhưng đỉnh + đỉnh thì vẫn tuyệt hơn chứ bạn
komatorie ơi ời, Mike hông có tách ra đâu, anh í chỉ làm Fort Minor như 1 dự án thử nghiệm thui (thử nghiệm nì hơi bị đỉnh), chứ anh í hông có bỏ Linkin, thấy chứ "Fort" trong tên nhóm hun? Ý nghĩa đã nằm ở đấy hít rùi. :honnhien:
Đừng đổ lên đầu "Chây Zi" thế chứ, J rap hay lắm muh, với lại collision course (và bộ sưu tập giầy nằm trong bộ trọn gói) là dự án "lấy ngắn nuôi dài" của LP, tự làm producer thì lấy đâu ra tiền? đã phải bỏ tiền tự làm "Breaking the habit" rùi.
Linkin Park pha trộn rock với Hip Hop, indie và asia instruments nên thêm tí rap có chết ai?
Nói chung, đừng lay chuyển em mấy anh, THE BEST BAND EVAAAA!!!

Ông Hahn mang lại sinh khí cũng như đặc trưng của nhóm (nghe đâu ổng là trưởng nhóm đó) nhưng mình thích nhất là Chester (nghe đâu năm nay Chester ra album solo đó)

mấy bài của Linkin Pảk quả la đỉnh , tui nghe hoài ko chán :042: , nhưng thật sự ko thích LP hát chung voi Jay_Z , nghe nó không được sạch sẽ cho lắm:rau:

ò, Evanesecence đúng ra đã có thể là ban Hard Rock vĩ đại nhứt trong thập niên nì lun, vì sao?
1. Ben Moody quá tài năng, viết nhạc quá đỉnh (hèn chi Avril và Anastacia vời quá trùi) cộng với Amy Lee viết lyric quá đặc biệt.
2. Amy có giọng hát có 1 không 2, giọng Pop/Operah lại gắn vào chất liệu rock --> hiệu ứng đặc bịt :amazing:
3. Cá tính mạnh, tư tưởng giữa các ca khúc rất thống nhất : Love - Darkness - hopes - fears. Các video clip đã thể hiện điều (kinh dị) đó
4. Một trong những band rock với leading vocal là nữ hiếm hoi, kể từ sau Garbage
Tất nhiên, ngoài Bring me to life, My immortal ra, tui mê Going under, Everybody's fool, Taking over me, Haunted (bài nì nghe ban đêm không sợ ma mới là lạ)...So với "Fallen" thì "Origin" và các EP khác không nổi trội bằng.
Tuy nhiên, Evanescence không thể làm gì hơn sau Best Hard rock performance và Best New Artist giải Grammy 04.
Amy Lee quá nhạy cảm với Showbiz, còn không thích tiệc tùng nữa. Hơn nữa Evanescence (trời, gõ tên cái nhóm này mệt wa'') lại không có lực lượng fan nhất định, không xuất hiện trước công chúng mấy, bởi vậy độ nổi bị mờ dần.
Tui sợ nhất đúng như cái tên nhóm, sợ 1 ngày Evanescence sẽ Evanescent lun thì hỏng!!!

nghe nói trong năm nay Lee cũng sẽ tung ra 1 album solo nữa (giống Chester quá đi mất) dẫu sao đi nữa thương hiệu Amy Lee cũng đủ đảm bảo cho thành công của album solo hay của nhóm rồi
ò, nhưng hình như sự nghịp của Ben trôi chảy hơn. Làm ăn với Avril và Anastacia tốt lém. Ben viết nhạc công nhận siêu thiệt.

tui thấy EVANESCENCE hòa âm phối nhạc nghe rất đã tai nhưng thấy nhiều bài hát giống nhau quá đâm ra mau ngán... còn LP thì khỏi cần nói nhiều, vì nói nhiều đâm ra nhàm, ai cũng bít tất tần tật hết gòi...
nhạc LP nghe ko chán thì ko có gì khó hỉu. Bởi LP ko chơi original rock, kết hợp Âu, Á, Hip Hop Indie Rock thi` nghe nó thú vị hơn. Thành phần band thì mỗi người 1 tài: có 1 vocalist là Chester wa' đỉnh, rapper Mike quá tài năng, lại thêm ông Hahn chà đĩa quá giỏi thì còn gì hơn. Nhưng mà cũng hông được quên 2 ông guitar với ông trống :022:
Album kool nhất của Evan có lẽ là Fallen. Chứ Anywhere but home nghe wá nhẹ và nhiều bài lặp nhau về giai điệu ~~~>> dễ nhàm !
LP cũng tạm, so với các band Nu thì có chút gì đó khác. Nhưng phong cách biểu diễn chưa ổn ! (mới nhận ra)

Hahaha...Mọi người quá kích động hay sao ấy nhỉ !? Tôi chỉ nói có cái gì đó ko ổn là trong cách họ diễn live, còn phong cách nhạc tôi có chê bai gì đâu. Nghe vẫn nhận ra ngay là LP đó thôi.
Nếu đây là favourite band của các bạn thì đối với tôi cũng vậy, nhưng ko phải vì thế mà ko nhìn ra khuyết điểm của họ. Lần đầu tiên tôi xem liveshow của LP, cảm giác rất thích thú. Nhưng khi xem đi xem lại nhiều lần, so sánh với các band khác, tôi thấy họ còn thụ động lắm. Chuyện tóc dài tóc ngắn là wá xưa rồi, thích làm gì là wyền của họ. Đối với tôi, họ là band có style lịch sự nhất. I promise !!!
Bạn gì đấy muốn tìm rõ tung tích của tôi thì có gì là khó đâu. Tôi sẵn sàng cho bạn cái sơ yếu lý lịch của tôi đấy.
Chỉ góp ý vài lời vậy thôi. Ai muốn phản đối thì mặc !

LP diễn live thụ động hả bạn?? bạn co thể giải thích thêm cho tui là thụ động như thế nào hông? tại nhà tui có cái Collision Course đem từ Mỹ về nên tui được coi cái DVD, thấy LP diễn live với Jay-Z, hát như điên, rap wên mình..... mình rất thắc mắc cái chữ "thụ động" của bạn đó.......

Đây chắc là bài live hay nhất của LP. Coi nó thụ động cỡ nào. Lúc cuối nhìn jester gone berserk kinh lắm.
Nhưng biểu diễn live thì chắc ko nhóm nào = Greenday. Phong cách cực kì.
Àh...Ra là "a place for my head"...Cũng khá là sung so với hầu hết các show. Nhưng đâu phải chỉ 1 vài bài là có thể đánh giá được cả. Diễn live mà chỉ chấm mỗi giọng hát ư !? Thế thì mua quách cái album về nghe hay đi xem video clip còn đỡ mất thời gian hơn. Đã live là phải thể hiện cho người xem biết phong cách của mình, mình có khả năng cuốn hút khán giả được lâu ko, giọng hát trong các liveshow ko hề được wan tâm.
Thế các bạn xem liveshow của LP có để ý hết tất cả các thành viên diễn thế nào ko ? Hay vì mình là fan nên tất cả thiếu sót đều bỏ wa !? Này nhé...Chester lúc hát đứng im, đi wa đi lại, thỉnh thoảng nhảy nhót một tí (và càng về sau càng bớt), Mike Shinoda là người dẫn chương trình nên cũng khá ổn, DJ Hahn good, Rob đánh trống hết mình ~~>> ok, chỉ có Brad và Phoenix là diễn ko có phong cách, đứng đánh đàn thì đứa mới học cũng có thể làm được. Như vậy chẳng phải đội hình này quá rời rạc sao !?
Nếu kiến thức về rock chỉ gói gọn trong các nhóm LP, Evan, Green Day...thì xin thưa : còn quá kém kỏi !

Bạn vào LP fan club để ...chê LP thì bị phản đối là dễ hỉu rù, trừ khi bạn nói công bằng và chính xác.
Bee nghĩ bạn là rock fanatic nên ko có ý kiến gì, chắc hẳn bạn hỉu nhìu về các rocker / rock band. Bee rất đồng ý là xét về rock mà chỉ nhắc đến LP, Evan, Greenday, U2...thì còn kém cỏi. ở ViệtNam ít ai bít đến POD, Slipknot, System of a down, five for fighting, Offspring, My chemical romance,...nhưng Bee ko mở topic nì để thi đua sự hiểu biết về các rockband, Bee nghĩ nếu bee mún, Bee thừa khả năng tranh luận, nhưng quan trọng, Bee thích 2 bands nì. :honnhien:
nếu bạn mong các fan Việt nam bít đến nhìu band thực sự "hay", "tích cực" bạn cứ từ từ giới thịu cho các bạn ý nha!
mình đồng ý mỗi band có 1 phong cách, nhưng mình ko nghĩ LP có vấn đề trong cách biểu diễn. Keane cũng là rockband, nhưng chaplin lun dính chặt với cái piano, có cần nhảy nhót loăng quoăng đâu? họ vẫn là rockband! bạn đồng ý chứ?

MicroWave nghe chỉ có tầm 2-3 bài là hao hao phong cách LP , còn Sói , Chiến Tranh hay khúc solo Bão Đêm thì làm sao giống LP cho được :041:

ôi , có nhìu người thích nhạc Rock quá , hôm nèo cả nhóm cùng đi chơi đi , tha hồ mà bàn luận zia` Rock . Em cũng rất thích Linkin Park và Evan lém , 2 nhóm nài hát za` trình diễn hay cực . Nhưng mà có ai bít zi` zia` nhóm Red Hot Chili Peppers ko vậy ??? Em cũng thích nhóm nài ghê lém !!!

Nói về rock thì quả thật là rất đa dạng . Mọi người cứ hay lầm ngĩ rock là ồn ào gào thét điên loạn nhưng có tìm hiểu khám phá nó mới thấy đc cái hay của nó . Trc đây tôi là 1 fan của Pop , Folk/Country .... và thật sự ko thể hiểu tại sao lại có người thix nhạc rock nhưng giờ đây thì mọi chuyện lại khác hẳn .
@Death rock me : còn nhìu nhóm rất hay mà có lẽ bạn chưa biết đó . Chẳng hạn như : Sum41 , Saliva , Story of the year , Good Charlotte , P.O.D , The Rasmus ...... đây lả những band rock tương đối nhẹ có thể hợp với bạn . Còn nhìu band thuộc thể loại khác nữa nếu có nhu cầu thì mình sẽ giời thiệu thêm ^^ :honnhien:

To DefOzzy : Cám ơn bạn nhìu nhé , mình thích nghe lại nhạc của các nhóm Rock trước đây lém , nhưng mà hình như trước đây các nhóm Rock trước đây chưa được lành mạnh như bi zo` đâu nhỉ ??? Hix , như band DEATH đó , ng` ta ca ngợi là band nhạc huyền thoại , nhưng mà cách họ hát seo mà thấy ghê quá , đó là chưa kể đến ngoại hình và trang phục của họ nữa chứ . Hix , minh` cũng bít nhìu nhóm nhạc Rock lém ,nhưng mà để nghe nhạc thì ko dễ tí nèo , bởi zi` mấy web page hiện nay it' có mấy loại nhạc nài lém . Bạn có bít thì chỉ mình với ( :008: suốt đời ngu zia` Rock zay seo )

Same here ^^ . Hồi đó cũng ghiền LP lắm , suy nghĩ về Rock lúc đó chỉ gói gọn trong LP và 1 vài band khác như POD , LimpBizkit thôi (Nu đặc sệt :P) . Nhưng dần dần thì cảm thấy thế là chưa đủ , muốn đi tìm kiếm những cái mới , những tư tưởng mới . Bởi vậy , quan niệm của tui hiện nay là phát triển chiều rộng trước , phát triển chiều sâu sau ^^

đúng Evan là Alter,nhiều người nói Evan là Gothc nhưng 0 phải,chỉ có chất giọng của Emy Lee là Gothic thôi chứ phong cách của Evan hoàn toàn là Alter(Ben Moody với Terry Balsamo mà Gothic nghĩa địa gì) với lại chẳng wa vì cái theme của Evan có mang phong cách tôn giáo trung cổ(nếu để ý sẽ thấy giữa chữ A và N có hình 1 cái chữ thập)nên bị lầm tưởng là Gothic.Sky 0 phải là 0 thích Alter với Nu nhưng chỉ là 0 nghe nhiều thôi hồi mới chập chững nghe rock cũng nghe LP wá chừng hehe.có điều về sau này thiên về Heavy Metal nhiều hơn nên cũng ít nghe Nu đi

sinhviencodoc ui, Mike Shinoda là người sáng lập ra Fort Minor đó. Trong đây cũng có Fort minor fan club ni`, bạn vô tham khảo đi.

- Mike mang 2 dòng máu Nhật - Mỹ. Sự nghiệp âm nhạc của Mike được bắt đầu ngay từ khi Mike đang học trung học ở trường TH Agoura cùng 2 thành viên của LP là Rob và Brad, cũng như các thành viên của Incubus (í nhóm nì cũng hay nữa nhưng tên hơi ghê :honnhien: ) và Hoobastank.

- Brad học chung Trung học với Mike và Rob, đã tốt nghiệp ĐH California bằng về Communications, nhưng ko theo trường luật để tham gia LP. Brad khởi đầu với cây trumpet cùng ban của mình là Pricks, sau này ở chung phòng với tay trống của LP là Dave tại ĐH.
- Brad khá ư là lạ lùng. Thường xuyên ko giặt quần áo khi đi tour, ngày còn đi học thường nhuộm tóc xanh, đỏ, tím và bi giờ là cạo trọc. Brad dễ dàng được nhận ra trong các show của LP bởi...1 đôi tai nghe to đeo thường trực, tự thiết kế cùng Mike, thay đổi mẫu mã thường xuyên và ...chẳng có tác dụng gì cụ thể. Khi được hỏi về chiện nì, Brad trả lời "If I tell you, I'll have to kill you" :026:
Rob Bourdon
Tên thật: Robert Gregory Delson - DOB: (20/ 1/ 1979) (hí hí trẻ nhất mà đẹp trai :042: )

- Rob quyết định chơi trống từ năm 10 tuổi, sau khi xem cuộc biểu diễn của Aerosmith. Anh í cũng chơi được cả piano. Khoảng 13 tuổi thì Rob gặp Brad và 2 người chơi cho nhóm Relative Degree đuợc vài năm. Rob vào ĐH California và là bồi bàn trước khi gia nhập LP.
- Rob nổi tiếng là người cầu toàn, luôn luôn cố gắng chơi hay hết sức có thể. Rob ko có hình xăm nào do lí do tôn giáo.
Dave Farrell
Tên thật: David Michael Farrell - Biệt danh: Phoenix - DOB: 8/2/1977
Vai trò: Guitar bass

- Dave chơi giỏi cả Guitar Bass, Guitar điện, cello và vi-ô-lông, là tay bass đứng trong nhiều buổi hòa nhạc. Dave cũng tốt nghiệp ĐH California và chung phòng với Brad, 1 người bạn chung phòng nữa của Dave đã trở thành người quay video cho LP sau này.

- Hahn hoàn toàn là người Hàn Quốc, thuộc thế hệ thứ 2, đam mê đồ họa, tốt nghiệp ĐH Mỹ thuật và thiết kế đồ họa cùng Mike. Hahn đã tham gia thiết kế kĩ xảo đặc biệt cho 1 số film The X-files (í, film iu thít của tui :042: ), Sphere và Dune. Hahn cũng đạo diễn video cho LP và 1 vài band khác. Hahn còn có thể chơi guitar tốt.
- Hahn là 1 người thích châm biếm mỉa mai và khá phớt đời. Hiện nay anh í đang tập trung làm film, trước đây đã làm Kung Fu highschool và Kingrat.
Và đây Chester. Vì đây là thành viên NO.1 của nhóm nên xin ưu tiên khai thác đời tư của anh í.

- Khỏi nguồn ra đời nhóm là cuộc gặp gỡ giữa Ben và Amy trong 1 lần cắm trại tại Arkansas, lúc đó Amy đang hát bản 'I'd do anything for love' (But I won't do that) của huyền thoại (còn sống :010:) Meat Loaf và lả lướt trên phím dương cầm. 2 người chia sẻ niềm đam mê âm nhạc của Jimmy Hendrix, cùng nhau viết nhiều bản nhạc, những bài đầu tiên là Give Unto me, Understanding và...My immortal. 2 người biểu diễn live tại nơi mình sống, các bài hát đứng đầu trên các bảng xếp hạng...địa phương, dưới cái tên band như Childish intentions, Stricken. Sau này Amy đã chọn cái tên Evanescence mà theo cô là có vẻ bí hiểm, u ám, như chính nhũng gì cô muốn mang vào nhạc của mình.

- Hiện nhóm đang tiến hành các công đoạn cuối của Album thứ 2 - The open door, dự tính có 13 bài tất cả. Đáng lẽ The open door ra vào tháng 3 rồi, nhưng vì tình trạng sức khỏe xấu của Terry và xích mích giữa nhóm với manager, ngày phát hành lùi lại vào tháng 10 năm nay. Amy hứa hẹn album thứ 2 có nhiều sự đổi mới hơn.
KẾT: Bee không tin tưởng vào sự thay đổi hay tiến bộ của nhóm trong The open door. Từ khi Ben đi, sự nghiệp của nhóm xuống hẳn. 1 mình Amy xoay xở không thể nổi, bởi 1 'Breath no more' và 1 'Broken' đã làm Bee thất vọng :hongchiudau: Nhưng dẫu sao, evan vẫn chiếm 1 vị trí lớn trong tim Bee, và chiếm được 1 vị trí nhỏ trên topic nì (fan LP đông wá chòi :amazing: ) Amy chọn kí tên evanescence mà đặt cho nhóm là...hông hên rồi!huhu

- Amy Lee sinh vào ngày 13-12-1981.
- Gia đình cô chuyển từ California đến Florida rồi Illinois, cuối cùng là ở Arkansas.

@tiento: ùm...bạn Bee thích cả 2 nhóm. hiện nay Evan đang lúng túng tìm đường trở lại hào quang nên bị mọi người quên lãng, nhưng Bee vẫn thích họ, tuy nhiên tài năng (Bee cho là) lớn nhất của Evan là Ben đã ra đi --> tổn thất quá lớn! ơ hay kí bác Tiên Tồ nì...trong bio của Evan Bee đã liệt kê hết các EP và album của Evan rùi mờ. Fallen là album đầu tiên, Sắp tới là The open door. Anywhere but home là DVD hông phải album.
@Cat: đã ra được 3 năm rồi thì hông nói "mới" được nữa. The open door sẽ ra trong năm nay mới gọi là mới chứ.
Cách gọi album tùy thuộc theo từng người. Có người tính cả EP và cover đều là album, nhưng tính cho đúng thì chỉ liệt kê các debut album thôi. chính vì thế mà collision course của LP ko tính là album (do không có bài nào mới), khi đọc thông tin trên mạng, phải thấy chữ "debut album" thì giới âm nhạc mới tính là 1. :042:

cũng tùy từng người thôi. LP có nhìu bài khó nghe hơn chứ, nhưng mình vẫn thích. khuyết điểm trong sáng tác của evan là các bài đều...gần gần giống nhau, nghe hết cả album thì thấy bài nào cũng hay, nhưng nghe nhìu sẽ chán :022: Sáng tác càng về sau càng nhàm.
Tuy nhiên Fallen wa' hay rùi (đối với tui) lyric rất lạ và ...đen tối (chắc giống tui nên tui mới thix)

koma đến SG cũng lâu lắm òi... đến từ ngày 20-11-1989 á.., làm thủ tục nhập cảnh ở bệnh viện Từ Dũ á... còn mẹ thì là người Bắc, nhưng cũng vô SG lâu òi, nên mất giọng lun... koma thì rất may nói được 2 giọng, mặc dù giọng Bắc hơi lơ lớ .... ra Y!M 4 more information

Trong album đầu của Evans (Anywhere but home) , có bài Anywhere rất hay ,một bản rock ballad say đắm lòng người luôn.

2.Band history
1994-99: Early history
Linkin Park is the result of the collaboration, started in 1998, between ex-Grey Daze Chester Bennington and an unsigned Californian rap metal outfit called Xero.
In 1996, guitarist Brad Delson and MC Mike Shinoda graduated from Agoura High School in the Los Angeles suburb of Agoura Hills, California. Upon graduation, the two men formed a band with their friend, drummer Rob Bourdon, under the moniker SuperXero. Previously, Delson and Bourdon were in a band together for about a year called "Relative Degree".
Meanwhile, upon graduating from Washington High School in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1994, Chester Bennington joined a band called Grey Daze. The band released two albums, No Sun Today and Wake Me. However, due to personal conflicts within the band, he decided to leave in 1997.
The three members of SuperXero played archaic forms of their music together while at college. Delson attended the University of California, Los Angeles. Shinoda went to the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. While at UCLA, Delson met bassist Dave Farrell. Delson and Farrell were roommates and often practiced and played together. Previously, Farrell used to play in a band called Tasty Snax with Mark Fiore, who later changed their name to The Snax. Fiore later became Linkin' Park's cinematographer. While at the Art Center College, Shinoda met Joe Hahn.
Farrell and Hahn joined SuperXero and the name of the band was shortened to just Xero. The five men were later joined by lead vocalist Mark Wakefield and, together, they recorded their first, self-titled demo tape. The tape was sent out to various record labels but it was never considered and the band was never signed. Shortly thereafter, Wakefield left the band.
After Wakefield left, Shinoda began auditioning for a new vocalist and at the same time Delson began interning for a Warner Brothers Records A&R representative named Jeff Blue as part of his communications degree. Blue alerted Delson and Shinoda to Bennington, a young vocalist from Phoenix who was looking to join another band.
Shinoda and Delson sent Bennington a tape containing an instrumental song and he recorded vocals for it. He then called Shinoda and played the song over the phone. This was the start of great things to come as the band was instantly impressed by the vocal abilities of Bennington and it did not take long to realize the advantages of his voice and his ability to mould it to be both soft and thought-provoking as well as hard and attention grabbing.
Once Bennington had joined the group, they attemped to have the band signed. Unfortunately, the name was already taken by a 70's and 80's band from Australia so they changed their moniker to Hybrid Theory and the band's line-up solidified — almost. Farrell temporarily left the band due to previous commitments with The Snax/Tasty Snax and, as such, wasn't able to record bass for their first, self-titled EP. Instead, Delson and a bassist named Kyle Christner played bass. Released in mid-1999, only one thousand copies of the EP were pressed. Several copies were sent to various record labels, including Warner Brothers Records. The rest of the copies were given to early members of the band's newly formed street team. Farrell was temporarily replaced by Scott Koziol. Scott appears in the video for "One Step Closer" from the Hybrid Theory album.
The band was subsequently signed to Warner Brothers in 1999 thanks to Blue. However, they were forced to change their name again due to another copyright issue with a British electronic group called Hybrid. There were several suggestions for the band's new name, including Clear, Probing Lagers, Ten P.M. Stocker (an inside joke for the band since they were always recording and practicing material late at night) and Platinum Lotus Foundation.
Many of the songs heard on Hybrid Theory were available at this time as demos. Many of them had different lyrics, but same melodies.
Bennington eventually suggested the use of Lincoln Park because he would drive by Lincoln Park in Santa Monica, California (now known as Christine Reed Park), on his way to the recording studio every day when the band was recording demos for its debut album. Bennington thought that it would be a good name for the band because there are Lincoln Parks all over the country. He figured that the band would be recognized as a local band no matter where they went. He also liked it because the name had no meaning, allowing the music to describe itself. However, since the domain name lincolnpark.com was already taken and the band couldn't afford to purchase it, they changed the spelling from "Lincoln" to "Linkin" so they could purchase the domain name linkinpark.com
2000-02: Breakthrough success
Hybrid Theory album cover (2000)
On October 24, 2000, Linkin Park's debut album, Hybrid Theory, was released in the United States. From the album from was cut only the remake of "High Voltage", a hip hop song that appeared on Hybrid Theory EP. Several songs from the EP were re-recorded as demos for Hybrid Theory, but it is unknown whether the tracks will ever appear as official B-sides or not. The record's first single, "One Step Closer", was a rock anthem on MTV.
The band performed in its first nationally-recognized concert on December 17, 2000 as a part of KROQ Radio's Almost Acoustic Christmas concert special. Shinoda wrote a brand-new song entitled "My December" for the occasion. The song was not featured on Hybrid Theory and is often mistaken as a B-side. It was later featured on a Christmas album released by KROQ DJs Kevin and Bean.
In early 2001, Farrell joined Linkin Park once again and the band's second single, "Crawling", was released and won the band a Grammy Award for "Best Hard Rock Performance" in 2002. The band embarked on its first ever national festival tour, the Ozzfest, with other acts such as Black Sabbath, Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, Papa Roach, Disturbed, Crazy Town and Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society.
In mid-2001, the band released its third single, "In the End". The song would prove to be the band's biggest hit and was one of the most-spun songs of 2001. The video for the song was directed by Nathan "Karma" Cox and Hahn, and featured the band playing atop a massive statue in the rain. The video had a massive amount of CGI compared to most music videos at the time.
On September 2, 2001, the band released its first DVD humorously titled Frat Party at the Pankake Festival. The DVD featured all of the band's videos up to this point in their career and featured a documentary of the band touring in support of Hybrid Theory. There are also a lot of hidden Easter eggs allowing viewers to access hidden videos on the DVD, including a studio performance of a demo of "A Place for My Head" from 1999.
In November, a friend of the band, Jessica Bardas, suggested forming a fan club. The band thought that it was a good idea, and the Linkin Park Underground (LPU) was born. Members of the fan club receive a package every year (assuming that they renew their membership) containing a T-shirt, a CD and several odds and ends, including guitar picks, stickers and posters. The first CD featured was a re-issue of the band's Hybrid Theory EP with new artwork.
In early 2002, the band put together its first headlining tour called Projekt Revolution. The first leg of the tour featured Adema, Cypress Hill and DJ Z-Trip. During the course of the tour, Shinoda and Hahn collaborated with the X-ecutioners on the song "It's Goin' Down". Shortly after the tour ended, the band headed back to the studio for the first time since early 2000.
After being sent several remixes of Linkin Park songs, Shinoda decided to release a remix album. Initially, Shinoda only wanted to remix a couple of songs and release an EP. However, thanks to encouragement from his bandmates (Delson and Hahn especially), Shinoda decided to take the project a step further.
Reanimation album cover (2002)
The project, which would take on the name Reanimation, featured one remix for each song from Hybrid Theory, as well as remixes of the songs "My December" and "High Voltage". Each song was remixed by a different artist and there were rumors that there were over fifty remixes that Shinoda received during the course of the project. Shinoda went through and listened to each remix, hand-picking the best ones. Only two of the remixes that didn't make the album were ever released, those being the Crystal Method's remix of "Points of Authority" (featuring on the CD of the second installment of the LPU) and Marilyn Manson's remix of "By Myself". The only other confirmed remix was of "My December" by Team Sleep. The remix was turned away because it made the song even darker; Shinoda went with the version on the CD because it made the song seem more up-beat and happier.
Some of the artists featuring on the album included Chali 2na of Jurassic 5, Stephen Richards of Taproot, Kelli Ali of Sneaker Pimps, Aaron Lewis of Staind, the Humble Brothers, Jonathan Davis of Korn, Aceyalone, Pharaohe Monch, The X-Ecutioners, Black Thought and Jay Gordon of Orgy.
"Pts.of.Athrty" (Jay Gordon) (2002)
The project was released on July 30, 2002 and its first and only single was "Pts.of.Athrty" ("Points of Authority") remixed by Orgy's Jay Gordon. In November, the second edition of the LPU launched as "Underground 2.0" and the second package was revealed. The new fan club-only EP featured the Crystal Method's remix of "Points of Authority" and a song called "Dedicated", which has been speculated as being cut from the band's EP before it was pressed. There's also a fifty-second instrumental track entitled "A.06" which showcases a harder side of the band. This instrumental gave fans a new hope allowing them to believe that the band's second album would be harder than Hybrid Theory. It also elevated hype for the band's follow-up.
2003-04: Meteora, Live In Texas, Collision Course

The band headed back to the studio in mid-2002 to record their follow-up to Hybrid Theory. The name of the album was kept a secret until December, where it was revealed to be named after Meteora, a series of monasteries high atop rock formations in Greece, which they learned about from looking at pictures in a travel magazine. "It's this really spiritual, mythical place," Delson said, "Just looking at those pictures was inspirational to us in terms of how epic it felt. I think some of the guys hadn't even seen the pictures when they heard the name Meteora, and they just really responded to the energy of the name. We think that suitably matches the spirit we tried to create with the record."[1] The album's first single, "Somewhere I Belong", was released in February of 2003 to critical acclaim. On March 25, 2003, Meteora was released and debuted at number one on Billboard's music chart after selling 810,000 copies in its first week. It has sold nearly 11 million copies worldwide, more than 5 million in the US alone.
Following the release of the album, the band embarked on its second Projekt Revolution tour with blindside, Mudvayne and Xzibit. "Faint" was released as a single toward the end of the tour. Following PR02, the band joined Metallica on their Summer Sanitarium Tour 2003 with Limp Bizkit, Deftones and, once again, Mudvayne.
Shortly after the Sanitarium tour came to a close, the band released "Numb" as a single. They shot a video for the single in Prague, Czech Republic. Simultaneously, the band shot a video for the song "From the Inside". Oddly enough, the video for "From the Inside" was shot before the video for "Numb". Bennington became ill before the video for "Numb" could be completed, so the remainder was filmed in a church in Los Angeles.

On November 18, 2003, Linkin Park released a brand-new DVD/CD live set entitled Live in Texas. The footage was shot while on the Sanitarium tour in Dallas and Houston, Texas. The DVD combined two live shows together; the video and audio from both shows was edited together. Because of this, the band had to wear the same clothing for both shows on consecutive days. The DVD featured seventeen songs and the CD featured a selection of twelve of those.
In November, the third edition of the LPU launched. The package's CD contained the five tracks that were cut from the Live in Texas DVD for its CD. This did not sit well with many fan club members, who claimed that the band should have placed rare songs on the CD (as with year two) instead of the live tracks.
At the end of 2003, the band performed at its third KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas concert. They headlined night two and played a seventeen-song set. At the end of Linkin Park's set, they played "One Step Closer" and were joined on stage by P.O.D.'s frontman, Sonny Sandoval.
At the beginning of 2004, the band set off on its "Meteora World Tour" with P.O.D., Hoobastank and Story of the Year. The band claimed that this was the final leg of the world-wide tour that the band had been on since Meteora was released.
During the tour, the band's video for "From the Inside" was released internationally. Following the "Meteora World Tour", the band began work on their most ambitious music video to date. The video, which was to be based around the song "Breaking the Habit", featured Japanese-style animation by the same studio that created the animated scenes in Kill Bill, Production I.G., and was directed by Kazuto Nakazawa and Hahn. The video featured Bennington's soul travelling through an old apartment building visiting various people struggling with various habits that they were trying to break. Some of the habits included were drug and sexual abuse. Prior to the release of "Breaking the Habit" as a single, "Lying From You" was released to radios to serve as a radio-only single.
Linkin Park then set off on its third Projekt Revolution tour. It would prove to be the band's most ambitious tour as it included two stages and what the band called the Revolution Village. The tour was very similar to the Ozzfest and the Vans Warped Tour. The main stage featured Linkin Park, Korn, Snoop Dogg, the Used and Less Than Jake while the second stage featured Ghostface, Funeral for a Friend, M.O.P., downset., No Warning, instruction and Autopilot Off. DJ Z-Trip also travelled with the tour, serving as the between-sets entertainment. During the hip-hop sets, Ivan the Urban Action Figure danced on stage. The Revolution Village featured lots of entertainment, including video game kiosks, miniature skate parks, batting cages, remixing stages and more. Projekt Revolution 2004 was the biggest-selling tour of the year.

, was released on November 30. It featured mashups of seven Linkin Park songs and six Jay-Z songs. The EP's first single, "Numb/Encore", peaked at number twenty on the billboard charts and remained in the charts for six months, going on to win a Grammy. The album itself debuted at number one on the charts.
The fourth edition of the LPU launched in November. The CD that shipped with the package featured two new songs; one was a roughly two-minute long instrumental piece called "Sold My Soul to Yo Mama" by Mr. Hahn, and the other a song called "Standing in the Middle", a collaboration with Motion Man. "Standing in the Middle" was originally recorded in 2001 as a "practice" song for Reanimation. Motion Man was eventually featured on Kutmasta Kurt's reinterpretation of "In the End", "Enth E ND".
2005:
The year 2005 marked a rather quiet year for Linkin Park. The band established Music for Relief, an organization dedicated to helping those affected by the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake. It has since expanded to become a program dedicated to helping those affected by a number of natural disasters, including Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The band played two shows in 2005, one in California for Music for Relief, and one during the Live 8 series of concerts at the Philadelphia, PA venue. Chester Bennington also played in ReAct Now: Music & Relief, which was a four and a half concert played on television on almost all broadcasting channels, in which a number of artists played. Chester Bennington performed a song which he wrote himself called "Let Down," a slow and sad song. Jay-Z joined them to perform most of the Collision Course EP.
In May, the band demanded to be released from its contract with Warner Brothers on the grounds of "a lack of confidence". The band was recently in negotiations with the label over a new record contract. Linkin Park had four albums left outstanding on its 2000 record contract. In December 2005 the band announced that they had finally reached a settlement with Warner Brothers Records. The settlement came from a new agreement signed by both parties that Warner Brothers will pay $1.5 million advance for their new album, along with an increase of royalty payments to 20% of total revenue generated from units sold. The length of the new contract is five releases, bringing the total number of releases under Linkin Park's contract since 2000 to an eventual eleven, one more than the previously agreed upon ten.
In July, Shinoda announced a hip-hop side project, Fort Minor. Shinoda explained that Fort Minor was a way for him to return to his hip-hop roots. He wanted the record to feature some of his best and closest friends in the business, including Styles of Beyond (who are now signed to Linkin Park's label Machine Shop Recordings), Black Thought of The Roots and Common (some of whom also helped produce the Reanimation album).
About a month and a half before Fort Minor's album was set to be released, a song called "Remember the Name" was leaked onto the Internet. Because of this, Warner Brothers threatened a website completely unrelated to the source of the leak. Through constant pressure, Warner was forced to back down, whilst other sites complied and removed the song from their servers. "Remember the Name" is now featured on NBA Live 2006, and was used in many television fillers during the 2006 NBA Finals, similar to a theme song for the playoffs.

On October 30 2005, a Fort Minor mixtape entitled DJ Green Lantern Presents Fort Minor: We Major was released onto the Internet. Fans of the project were sent searching all over the Web trying to find the mixtape before it was finally made public on Rap Basement. On November 22 2005, The Rising Tied, Fort Minor's first album, was released. The album's first single, "Petrified", has yet to receive much airplay. Though the album has been praised by many hip-hop fans, it failed to do well on the charts. But in 2006, the project started gaining popularity thanks to surprise success of the third single "Where'd You Go", featuring Holly Brook which peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100, and also managed to last for a full 50 days on Total Request Live before being retired.
Bennington is also working on his own solo album with Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck of Orgy, who also play guitar on the album. Little is known about Bennington's side project other than its name, Snow White Tan. One of Snow White Tan's songs, "Morning After", is a remake of a song that Bennington wrote before he joined Linkin Park. Bennington is also involved with Julien-K, a side project of Derakh and Shuck. It is unknown as to how exactly Bennington is involved. Bennington also has a cover band called Bucket of Weenies. During some shows that the band played, they covered Snow White Tan's "Morning After". Snow White Tan's debut album is speculated to be released after Linkin Park's third studio effort.
Because of Shinoda's and Bennington's projects, rumours were swirling that the band was splitting up, rumours that both Shinoda and Bennington refuted. Shinoda added recently that he has "[…] a demo of some new Linkin Park songs. I'm not making that up, either. I have to pull my CD changer magazine out when I get out of my car, in case it gets stolen — I couldn't let the LP stuff leak." [1] "We are glad to go back to the studio," stated Brad Delson in a statement posted on linkinpark.com, "We're ready to put out a new album". The band expects to release their new album some time in the summer of 2006, though Shinoda states that new music could come out near the end of the year.
The band's fifth installment of the LPU fan club launched on November 21, 2005. The CD shipped with the fifth fan club package featured live tracks from the band's performance during Live 8 plus several songs with Jay-Z.
In November, it was revealed by Dave "Phoenix" Farrell that Linkin Park had recorded a new song for the Machine Shop Mixtape series. The song has still yet to be publicly heard. Mike Shinoda was confirmed as the co-producer for the next Linkin Park album in December 2005. Shinoda produced the Hybrid Theory EP. On February 8, 2006 Linkin Park announced the producer for their third studio album would be Rick Rubin, who has worked with The Beastie Boys, Weezer, Metallica, Audioslave, Slipknot, Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, System Of A Down and countless others.
During the Grammy Award Ceremony 2006 Linkin Park performed with Jay-Z and Paul McCartney collaborating on the song "Yesterday". During the Grammy awards, Rolling Stone had an interview with Chester Bennington, he stated that the new album will be different from their previous albums, which fused hard rock and rap. "It's dark and spooky, poppy and very melodic," says Bennington. "Not a hard, heavy rock record. What it is, is fucking insane!" Linkin Park has already come up with fifty new tracks and are in the recording phase of the album [2]. Shinoda reported on Australian radio that the album is scheduled to be released between July and September. [3]. A report in the New York Post said that Linkin Park is likely to leave their current agent, "The Firm" [4].
On June 9th, 2006, a trailer for a series of new "LPTV" episodes leaked via YouTube and was brought to public attention by a member at the Linkin Park Underground message boards. There will be 10 episodes and they will feature footage from their Meteora World Tour and their work on the new album in the studio, all of which will be found on the band's official site soon. A reported update from Mike says the band is currently narrowing down the songs from 100 to about 15 and the album should be out in October around halloween.
The official website recently was closed down for remodeling. However, fans were treated to being able to watch all the music videos (excluding live videos) that the band has produced to date, as well as use the message boards and read news about recent events concerning the band.

Chester Charles Bennington, also known as Chazzy Chaz (born March 20, 1976), is an American musician.
He is best known for being the lead vocalist in the nu metal band Linkin Park (and the oldest member). He also has a side-project called Snow White Tan.
He joined Linkin Park in 1998, replacing Mark Wakefield and after being the vocalist for Grey Daze.

Chester was born March 20, 1976 and grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. He is notable for producing loud, high-pitched and often screamed vocals, which were produced in part over time through Chester singing, until his thoat and lungs were sore, when he was a child. Chester's first instrument was the piano. While Chester was growing up he was in a number of bands and played various instruments, but mainly was a vocalist. He never settled in a full time band until 1992, when he joined Grey Daze. The band disbanded in 1997 and Chester moved on to Linkin Park.
Chester had a rather unpleasant life right through adolescence. He was sexually abused as a child, by a close family friend. A few of his friends committed suicide, and one of his friends died in a skateboarding accident.
Bennington's parents divorced in 1987, leaving him with his two half sisters and a half brother. Chester was the youngest of four children at 11 years old, and he stayed with his father who was a police officer and detective. His brother introduced him to bands like Loverboy, Foreigner and Rush which he claims as his influences.
Before his parents parted, the family frequently moved around Arizona, from cities such as Scottsdale, Tolleson, Tempe, and others. "I was an athletic kid but I just stopped caring about it, and I stopped doing well in school," Chester states in a Kerrang! article. "I started smoking weed and going to parties. I think I was 11 when I started smoking pot." [1] Chester attended Centennial High School, Greenway High School, and later graduated from Washington High School. Chester said that while he was in high school he was bullied and he described himself as a geek. When Chester was younger he had a day job working as a coffee barista. Chester worked at Bean Tree Coffee House and said it was that what kept him going, and that coffee houses are very understanding and this was the base of his inspiration. Through his late teens and early twenties Chester battled an addiction to crystal meth, LSD, and cocaine; however, he managed to overcome his addictions and is currently clean.

Bennington was formerly the lead vocalist in a band called Grey Daze through 1993 to 1998 who were popular across Arizona and the United States but didn't achieve global status. Chester thought he was not getting enough credit for his writing and had mutual disagreements with other band members, causing him to leave the band. While with Grey Daze, Chester recorded two albums, "Wake Me" in 1994 and "...no sun today" in 1997 along with one demo tape "Sean Dowdell and his Friends" in 1993 while the band was under the same name. After Chester left, they split up and guitarist, Sean Dowdell joined a new band with a new female singer, Jodi Wendt, called Waterface and have recorded one album, "Seven Days".
Chester met his wife, Samantha, while working at Burger King. Chester worked part time so he could practice with Grey Daze in the evening. At this point he was so poor he couldn't afford a car or even a bike so he used a skateboard as his form of transportation. They got married on October 31, 1996, at the age of 20, and because Chester was too poor to afford an actual wedding or engagement ring, the two of them have rings tattooed on their ring fingers. The couple were in the local real estate market and to learn more about the business world, Chester would sneak into classes at Arizona State University without paying the required tuition fees (unlike the rest of Linkin Park, Bennington does not have a college diploma.)[2] They have one child, a boy named Draven Sebastian Bennington, born April 19, 2002 at 1 p.m. as mentioned on linkinpark.com : "Chester and Samantha had their son on April 19th, 2002 at 1PM. He's happy, healthy, and cute as can be. The baby and parents are doing great. They thank you for being so interested and they love you guys! The whole family will be on the road during the next Linkin tour!". Draven was supposedly named after a character in the movie "The Crow". On May 2, 2005 the couple divorced after eight years of marriage. Samantha has been granted full custodial rights of their child, while Chester, after months of battling, has joint custody. On December 31, 2005, Chester married his 29-year-old girlfriend Talinda Bentley, who posed for Playboy during her college years in California Institute of Technology. Bennington's wife, Talinda, gave birth in Los Angeles on Thursday March 16, 2006, to a 9-pound, 3-ounce boy named Tyler Lee, according to a statement from their publicist. This statement also said that Chester has a ten year old son named Jaime, believed to be Talinda's son. Chester was going to reunite with Grey Daze for one last performance to raise some money to help the former Grey Daze member Bobby Benish who has a brain tumor at the Dodge Theatre in Arizona along with bands Phunk Junkeez, Pokerface and Gift. But, unfortunately Chester had to postpone the performance due to Linkin Park's recording schedule while they were working on Meteora. Since then Bobby Benish has died due to his brain tumor.
In 1995, Bennington and former Grey Daze member Sean Dowdell founded Club Tattoo, a tattoo parlor, in Phoenix, Arizona. They now have full partnership and 3 chain locations in Arizona. Many celebrities, such as Hoobastank, David Boston from the Arizona Cardinals, and Chester himself have gotten their tattoos done there.

Linkin Park and other projects
In 1998 Linkin Park (then called Xero) advertised for a vocalist due to trouble with getting signed. A firm that were mutual friends with Chester told Xero that Chester Bennington would be good for the job. They sent Chester a demo and asked Chester to sing to it. Within three days, one of which was his birthday (apparently he didn't show up for his birthday party because he was working on the demo) he had recorded the demo and played it to Xero over the phone; they were blown away and asked Chester to fly to Los Angeles from Phoenix to audition. At the audition, several other potential vocalists vying for the position simply left once they heard Bennington sing. One auditioner commented to the band that they'd have to be crazy not to pick him (Chester). Xero then changed their name to Hybrid Theory and recorded the Hybrid Theory EP which included the songs "Carousel", "Technique (Short)", "Step Up", "And One", "High Voltage" and "Part Of Me". They attracted some attention from some record labels and eventually decided to sign to Warner Brothers Records.
Due to a copyright issue with the British group Hybrid they had to change their name. Chester suggested Linkin Park because after recording sessions Chester would drive past Lincoln Park in Santa Monica. They recorded their debut album, Hybrid Theory through 1999-2000 and it was released on October 24, 2000. It produced hits like In The End and Crawling. Hybrid Theory has since sold over 19 million copies around the world. Then in 2002 Linkin Park released the remix album Reanimation, featuring remixes from Hybrid Theory. Chester and Linkin Park then recorded their next album Meteora featuring hits like Somewhere I Belong. They released the live album Live in Texas and the "mash-up" album with Jay-Z, Collision Course. His co-writer and fellow band member Mike Shinoda wrote a song, which until recently could not be performed live. The song, called "Breaking the Habit," brought back memories from the past which in many cases reduced Bennington to tears. There is much speculation behind the meaning of the song, including Chester's drug addiction and childhood issues. The song took Mike Shinoda six years to write. It was released as a single in June 2004 and was included on the Meteora album. Linkin Park has a new record coming out in late summer (July to September), Chester has described it as "dark, poppy and melodic" different from their other albums which fused Hard Rock and Hip hop.
Bennington seems to have rather bad luck with getting sick on tour. On 8/8/01 during Ozzfest he was bitten by a recluse spider at a hotel in the Boston area. A portion of Bennington's leg swelled and he ran a fever, but he finished the whole tour. Most people require hospitalization after a recluse spider bite. Bennington continues to struggle with a hiatal hernia, an ailment that forced LP to cancel their show in Evansville, Indiana. (April 11, 2003). In 2003, LP was forced to cancel their European tour in June due to a viral infection Chester developed. He was sent to intensive care at LA's Cedars-Sinai Medical Center when he lost feeling in his body and collapsed. Bennington had been wearing glasses most of his life. During live shows, he would remove them, although claiming he couldn't even see the front row of the audience without them. Then in March 2004, he went through laser eye surgery and no longer wears his signature thick-rimmed glasses. A few days before performing at the second Club Tattoo Anniversary Party in April 22, 2006, Bennington got his arm stitched, which was cut after falling through a window of his father's house. He was drunk and had lost the key to the house. The next day, he had an anxiety attack, causing him to have a seizure and arm spasms.
In 2007 Chester is set to release a solo album under the name Snow White Tan, produced by Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck of Orgy. There are currently two confirmed tracks: 'The Morning After' and 'Walking In Circles'. 'Let Down' is also rumoured to appear on the album. Chester will sing, play guitar, play keyboard and does the programming on the record. Influences for the album include The Cure, Depeche Mode, and Bauhaus, and Chester has described it as "fuckin' driving beats and walls of guitars." One of his friends also likened one track to T-Rex. The album is due for release sometime in 2007, after Linkin Park's new record. Chester is also playing with "Bucket Of Weenies" a small garage band who perform cover songs, Bucket of Weenies have covered such songs as Snow White Tan's The Morning After. Also, Chester recently played with Mötley Crüe at ReAct Now: Music & Relief, a Hurricane Katrina relief concert, helping them onstage performing 'Home Sweet Home'. It was that same show he performed the unreleased song 'Let Down' with Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck.
Bennington had also designed some clothing for a company called Replicant, owned by ex-Korn's Head and Orgy's Ryan Shuck.

Robert Gregory Bourdon (born January 20, 1979) is the drummer for the nu metal band Linkin Park. He is also the youngest member.
Rob was born in Calabasas, California and now lives in Los Angeles. He grew up in the same town as the members of Incubus, and went to high school with some members of Hoobastank.
Rob started to play the drums at age ten after seeing an Aerosmith concert. His mother was the ex-girlfriend of Joey Kramer, Aerosmith's drummer and was able to go backstage and see the entire production. Rob also plays the piano. When he was around thirteen, Bourdon played in bands with his friends. It was around that time he met Brad Delson, now the guitarist for Linkin Park, and they played together for about a year in a band called Relative Degree. Their goal was to play at the Roxy, and after achieving their goal with a sell-out show, they broke up.
He is well known as being a perfectionist who always strives to play to the best of his ability.
Bourdon won't get tattoos for religious reasons.

Brad Delson.
Bradford Phillip Delson, who is also known as Big Brad (he signs his name as "B.B."), was born on December 1, 1977. He is best known for his role as the guitarist in the nu metal/rapcore band Linkin Park.
Delson was born in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from Agoura High School in 1996 and formed Xero with Mike Shinoda, which would later become Linkin Park. He attended and graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a degree in communications but did not go to law school in order to pursue a career with Linkin Park.
While in college, Delson had to intern with a member of the music industry as a part of his career. He ended up working for Jeff Blue, an A&R representative at Warner Brothers Records. He told Blue about his band and in return for giving him demos to listen to he was offered constructive criticism. Blue is the man who found Linkin Park's future vocalist, Chester Bennington.
Before forming Xero with Mark Wakefield, Delson's first instrument was the trumpet. His first band was called the Pricks, and he later played in a band called Relative Degree with his fellow Linkin Park bandmate Rob Bourdon. He met and roomed with bandmate Dave Farrell at UCLA.
Delson can usually be seen wearing a very large pair of headphones on stage. They are not connected to any sort of equipment via wires and there does not seem to be any plausible means for a wireless signal. The headphones are designed by Shinoda and himself and change with every Linkin Park release. Delson has never given a serious answer as to why he wears the headphones, normally avoiding such questions with ridiculous answers such as "If I tell you, I'll have to kill you", however he has said that it's to do with the idea of a "Matrix" (not the film, the actual concept).
Brad has been known for his anti-social behaviour on occasions, particularly, according to Mike, for not washing very often during recording. In high school, he used to dye his hair many different colours (like red, purple and blue), but now he mainly sticks to having it shaved, though there have still been variations from time to time.
He is often criticized for playing simple guitar parts and never performing solos. He has explained that this is due to the simplistic nature of the band, and the fact that he tries to make his guitar playing sound like a keyboard or strings to try to fit in with the hip hop and electronic sounds of the band.

Dave "Phoenix" Farrell.
David Michael Farrell, more commonly known as Phoenix, was born on February 8, 1977. He is best known for his role as the bassist in the nu metal/rapcore band Linkin Park.
Farrell was born in Plymouth, Massachusetts but later moved to Mission Viejo, California when he was five. He is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles and he is adept at playing the bass guitar, electric guitar, cello and violin. He has also been known to play a stand-up bass at some concerts.
Farrell was a member of a Christian punk band known as the Tasty Snax. While attending college, he would practice with Brad Delson in their dorm room together. However, because he had to play and tour with the Tasty Snax, he could not play with Delson and his band, which would become Linkin Park. After changing their name to the Snax, Farrell began playing guitar in the band before leaving once again to join Linkin Park full-time to play bass. Farrell's fellow bandmate Mark Fiore became Linkin Park's videographer.
Farrell has cited his influences as being his mother and his brother, Joe, as well as Weezer, The Beatles, the Deftones, The Roots, Bob Marley, Sarah McLachlan, Hughes & Wagner and Harrod & Funck.
Farrell now resides in Los Angeles, California with his wife, Linsey, to whom he has been married since December 28, 2002. Fitting to his nickname, Phoenix, he has 2 phoenix tattoos on his back.
Joe Hahn.
Joseph Hahn aka. Chairman Hahn and Mr. Hahn (born March 15, 1977 in Dallas, Texas) is a DJ and is prehaps best know for his role, as DJ, in the nu metal/rapcore band Linkin Park. He has just recently opened a small clothing store called "Suru" in the Los Angeles fashion district.
Hahn, a full-Korean second generation, is from Glendale, California where he graduated high school and was also into visual arts. He then attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California with his fellow Linkin Park bandmate, Mike Shinoda. His intended field of study was illustration but decided to drop out to pursue a career involving overseeing special effects in television shows and movies such as The X-Files, Sphere and Dune.
He joined Linkin Park (then called Xero) in 1997 as the band's DJ. Since then, he has directed music videos for most singles of his band (except for One Step Closer, Crawling and Faint). He has also directed videos for Static-X, Story of the Year and Alkaline Trio.
Hahn is known for his sarcastic and dry sense of humor during interviews. He can also play guitar and has traded instruments with Brad Delson during occasional Linkin Park concerts.
Adding to his humor, he has been known to have a split personality named Remy. Although this was a joke, fans have taken this seriously. In his solo song "Cure For The Itch" in Hybrid Theory, Remy speaks in the beginning of the song. The lines are "Folks, we have a very special guest for you tonight, I'd like to introduce Mr.Hahn."
With bandmates Chester Bennington and Shinoda busy with side-projects, Hahn is busy doing his own side-projects. Recently, he shot a mini-film called The Seed in Los Angeles, California and plans to enter it in the 2006 Sundance Film Festival. He is also working on Kung Fu High School and King Rat, which is an adaptation of the novel by China Mieville. Mr.Hahn was introduced to "King Rat" by his personal manager.
Michael Kenji Shinoda (born February 11, 1977), is an American musician and record producer.He's best known for his work in the nu metal band Linkin Park. He's also active in a hip hop side project known as Fort Minor.
Biography
Early life
Born to a Japanese American father [1] and a white American mother who also has some Native American blood, Mike Shinoda, or Michael Kenji Shinoda, was raised in the Los Angeles suburb of Agoura, where he resided for all of his pre-adult life. Contrarily to speculation by some fans, Mike Shinoda is not in any way Russian. This was stated on the Fort Minor MySpace profile. [2] Mike Shinoda has a younger brother named Jason Shinoda.
Mike's first exposure to the music business came during his middle and high school years, when he attended a concert featuring Anthrax and Public Enemy. After that, he began taking piano lessons, studying classical pianist techniques, and later moved on to jazz and hip-hop. It was during this formative period that he added the guitar and, eventually, rap-style vocals to his repertoire.
In his early teens, Shinoda's musical interests found a source of encouragement in friend Brad Delson, with whom he started to write and record songs with in a makeshift studio set up in his bedroom. Shinoda attended the Agoura High School with Linkin Park bandmate Brad Delson, as well as with members of the band Hoobastank. By the end of high school, percussion practitioner Bourdon had become involved in their musical ventures. The trio formed the band Xero, and began to make a more serious attempt to pursue a career in the music industry.
After high school, Shinoda enrolled in the Art Center College of Design to study graphic design and illustration. It was here that he made the acquaintance of DJ and turntablist Joseph Hahn, who, along with Delson's college-mate Dave "Phoenix" Farrell, was soon added to Xero's line-up. Shinoda eventually completed his college training with a degree in illustration, securing himself a job as a graphic designer right after graduation. With his experience and talent as a graphic artist, Shinoda has taken it upon himself in designing all of Linkin Park's artwork with Hahn, and has even designed the album cover for Styles of Beyond's debut album, 2000 Fold.
Linkin Park
Just prior to his graduation, in the final year of his studies, the band (at this point called Hybrid Theory) brought in second vocalist Chester Bennington, replacing Mark Wakefield. Only one six-track EP would be released under the new name before legal issues forced them once again to change it - and thus it came to pass that Shinoda and his bandmates ultimately were to call themselves Lincoln Park. However, it was too expensive to buy the domain name lincolnpark.com, so it was ultimately changed to Linkin Park. Throughout 1999, Linkin Park continued to expand their following amongst L.A. club patrons. This growth in popularity made a record contract an even more urgent concern for the band, and Shinoda was forced to juggle his college finals with talent showcases for various major labels; while the former went well for him, the latter failed to accomplish any positive results until the year was nearly over. Several labels had passed on the privilege until, finally, Warner Brothers made the decision to add the young band to its long list of artists. The first fruits of this union surfaced in the Fall of 2000 as Hybrid Theory, sporting a cover designed by Shinoda himself; before long the album had found its way high into the charts, launching Linkin Park as one of the most popular exponents of the rap-metal crossgenre.
From the start Shinoda was closely involved in the technical aspects of the band's recordings, and over the subsequent releases that role continued to expand, with the singer tackling a fair amount of the production duties for the Hybrid Theory remix album Reanimation (2002). His musical role also evolved,

and the sophomore release Meteora (2003) saw him assuming a more prominent role as a guitarist. By the release of the Linkin Park and Jay-Z 'mash-up' album Collision Course in 2004, he had his hands in every aspect of the release, from performing and producing to mixing and graphic design. Production and remix work for various other performers including The X-Ecutioners, Handsome Boy Modeling School and Depeche Mode was also undertaken from time to time.
In 2003, Shinoda launched his own record label with Delson as an imprint of Warner Brothers Records. The newly-formed Machine Shop Recordings would then go on to sign artists such as Styles of Beyond, Holly Brook, Simplistic and No Warning. (Simplistic and No Warning have since broken up.)
Mike is currently married to Anna Lovejoy and lives in Los Angeles, California.
Recent events
Shinoda, alongside Lil Jon, was asked to score the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards. This was especially impressive as it was the first time in the show's history that artists were given the chance to score the show. Shinoda contributed five short tracks to the score: "100 Degrees," "Saturday," "Montreal," "Hype" and "Madison." They are all instrumental pieces. "100 Degrees" was eventually later made into a full song where Shinoda raps and can be found on the Fort Minor mixtape.
Fort Minor
Shinoda formed a side project named "Fort Minor" between 2004 and 2005. He explained the name of his project in a recent interview [3]:
"Fort" represents the more aggressive side of the music. "Minor" can mean a few things: if you're talking about music theory, the minor key is darker. I wanted to name the album rather than having my name on the cover, because I want people to focus on the music, not me.
The debut album from Fort Minor, titled The Rising Tied, was released on November 22, 2005, and includes guest appearances from Styles of Beyond, Lupe Fiasco, Common, Black Thought of The Roots, John Legend, Holly Brook, Jonah Matranga and features Jay-Z (Shawn Carter) as an executive producer.
Shinoda has also produced albums for Lupe Fiasco and Styles of Beyond, as well as producing several of Linkin Park's albums, including Reanimation, Hybrid Theory EP and the collaborative EP with Jay-Z, Collision Course. He has also produced all of Linkin Park's Linkin Park Underground CDs.

Mình cũng thích nghe linkin lắm.Trong nu-metal thì band này là nhất rồi. Nhưng mình thấy band này đánh nhạc cụ ko hay lắm. Chậm rề rề.Chỉ có track "A place for my head" là đỡ nhất
Trùi,"nhạc cụ" của LP toàn piano điện tử ko àh,ai đã nghe bài "hit the floor"."nobody's listening" thì bít,nghe cứ như nhạc cụ chứ thực ra là piano dt đó,vì vậy đôi khi tiếng ko thể=nhạc cụ thật cũng đâu sao

Bạn này nói đúng đấy,nghe nói Album Collision Course là 1 thất bại của LP khi VS Jay-Z,nhưng muh sau này M.Shinoda đầu quân cho Fort Minor thì lại có triển vọng hơn đấy chứ,dù phải công nhận là lúc còn trong LP thì đúng là 1 thơi vàng son nhất của M.Shinoda,đó là chưa nói đến Chester và Pheonix nữa chứ^^

Bé Death_rocker gì đó ơi :022: , thực ra 'tóm gọn' phong cách của LP vào 2 chữ "nu-metal" là ko chính xác lắm! LP hấp dẫn người nghe nhờ phong cách đa dạng, pha trộn giữa Rock, Hip Hop và ballad nhưng tuân thủ theo phong cách Alternative. Nu-metal chỉ là cái nhánh bé nhỏ của cái cây đại thụ alternative mừ thui.
Còn bàn về vấn đề "LP đánh nhạc cụ ko hay lắm" thì bé nên xem xét kĩ lại trước khi phát biểu :010: "chậm rề rề" là sao? Phải có bài chậm bài nhanh, ko lẽ rock nghĩa là liến thoắng, là lia lịa hử? Bé xem thêm DVD liveshow của LP để kiếm chứng lại nhé?

Tui cũng là một fan của Evanescence nè....ai thik thì zô blog tui kết bạn nghe....
Ngoài Eva ra còn ghiền cả NightWish với Within Temptation nữa.....nhưng chắc ít người bik hay thík nhhể >.<...chán....toàn K-Pop với HipHop không ai đoái hoài tới Rock cả....
À quên nữa tui đang là một mem 12A7 năm 07-08 ( năm nay nè ) ai thik Gothic Metal thì lên làm wen nha ^^
